BMW XM Mystique Allure revealed at Cannes Film Festival

The glitz and glamour of the Cannes Film Festival provided the perfect setting for the world premiere of the BMW XM Mystique Allure.

The one-off creation is the latest product of the collaboration between BMW and Naomi Campbell, a partnership which began last year with the “Dare to be You” launch campaign for the BMW XM. It uses materials from the fashion industry in the supermodel’s favourite colour, ultramarine blue with a striking velvet exterior on the top half and metallic sequins on the bottom half immediately catching the eye. Everything inside the car, from the seats to the roof is draped in purple velvet.

Hanz Zimmer is also involved in the project with the BMW IconicSounds Electric soundtrack developed in collaboration between the Oscar winner and BMW Group Sound Design. The BMW XM Mystique Allure uses the plug-in hybrid powertrain which combines a twin-turbo 4.4 litre V8 and a single electric motor.

As the official automotive partner of the Cannes Film Festival, BMW is laying on 200 vehicles to be used by guests as part of the festival’s local shuttle service. Among them are the all-electric BMW i7, iX and i5.
