BMW will be present at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, showing off two new models alongside a host of other cars and concepts from its fleet.

The new BMW X3

The new BMW X3 will make its world premiere on Thursday 11th July at BMW’s Trackside stand. The X3 first launched in 2003 and the latest version, the BMW X3 M50 xDrive, is the fourth generation of the model. Featuring the most powerful six-cylinder in-line petrol engine ever fitted in an M Performance model, the 3.0 litre M TwinPower Turbo unit is paired with 48V mild hybrid technology. It has a maximum output of 398 hp and can do 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds.

Also making its first outing in the UK and taking on the 1.16 mile Goodwood hill is the new BMW M4 CS. Powered by a high-revving six-cylinder in-line 3.0-litre engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, the race-focussed BMW M4 CS has an increased engine output of 550 hp and features model-specific chassis tuning and lightweight design elements. This gives it a rapid 0-62mph time of just 3.4 seconds.

BMW M Hybrid V8 and Other Highlights

Joining the M4 CS in attempting the hill course is the BMW M Hybrid V8, which comes to Sussex straight from its exploits at the 24 Hours of Le Mans where it competed in the Hypercar class, 25 years after the victory of the BMW V12 LMR in 1999. The V12-powered legend will also be piloted up the hill be BMW Group Class and the team will bring along the BMW 318i touring car, driven by famed racing driver Johnny Cecotto, and the BMW2002 TIK, with HRH Leopold Prince of Bavaria at the wheel.

The Stable Yard will be the place to see some of the latest models from BMW M including the new BMW M135, the facelifted BMW M2 and BMW M3 Touring. Concept cars like the Skytop and the BMW i5 Flow NOSTOKANA will provide a glimpse into the potential future for the German brand.
