REVIEW | Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance
While Red Bull increasingly dominate Formula One, Mercedes are barely able to challenge, let alone secure a win. However, when it comes to road cars, they are excelling, as Graham Courtney found out when he tested the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E-Performance.
REVIEW | DS 7 - Where Luxury Comes as Standard
The DS 7 is a really smart, sizeable SUV. It looks good on the inside and out, oozes quality and is good to drive. But is it just an expensive Citroen? Graham Courtney took one for a spin to find out.
REVIEW | Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV Recharge
All things eventually have to evolve. Frustratingly for Graham Courtney, one of those things isn’t test match cricket. However, in the case of the XC90 Recharge, it represents the last of its kind as Volvo looks towards an electric future. Graham took it for a spin to see whether it goes out on a high.
FEATURE | 20 Years of The Bentley Continental GT
The Bentley Continental GT is 20 years old, and to celebrate the anniversary, John Marcar visited Bentley Motors’ Country residence in Cheshire, just a few miles from the Bentley Factory in Crewe, to sample various iterations of GT since the Volkswagon AG took over ownership of the iconic British marque.
REVIEW | Honda Civic Type R (FL5) - The Best FWD Car Ever?
The FL5 is a spectacular driver's car. In terms of driver engagement, it's near faultless. Acceleration, braking feel and performance, turn-in and steering performance all feel sublime. On some of my favourite familiar country lanes, I found myself doing something I've not done in a new car for a long while - I was laughing out loud and giggling like a sugar-filled child.
Review | SsangYong Musso Saracen + : A Serious Weightlifter
Graham Courtney took advantage of a miserable summer of weather so far to test the SsangYong Musso Saracen +, a pick-up that is much more than what meets the eye.
Feature | A Day at The Alvis Car Company
At Driven, we were fortunate enough to be invited on a tour of The Alvis Car Company facilities in Warwickshire, a company that has been given a new lease of life, thanks to the efforts of Alan Stote and his team of staff, for whom Alvis is more than just a job but a passion and are ‘still making cars how they used to be made.’
Review | Back to back: Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and Bonneville Bobber
In terms of two-wheeled transport, it's been a rather Triumph focussed six weeks or so here at Driven. First up came the delightful Matt Baja Orange Speed Twin 1200 - delivered just in time for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, and around four weeks later, the Speed Twin was swapped for the iconic Bonneville Bobber, which stuck around for another couple of weeks.
Review | Dacia Jogger Jogs Along Nicely
Dacia is currently flying as a brand. Last year saw its sales double in the UK compared to 2021, and 2023 has seen cars from its range updated with brand new badging. Graham Courtney drove the new Dacia Jogger to see whether the brand’s upward trajectory has continued.

Review | Skoda Superb: A Car Worthy of the Name?
Should a car company be allowed to use the name of its car as a boastful endorsement? The new Skoda Superb is the latest iteration of a car that has exactly that. Graham Courtney took it for a drive to see whether it indeed is worthy of the name.
Review | Citreon’s Smooth Operator, the e-C4 X
Is this just another boxy electric SUV? Is the swooping shape deceptive? Graham Courtney recently tested the Citreon e-C4 X and took a deep dive into some of the finer details.
Review | Mercedes EQE, the Tesla Alternative?
If you were hankering for a new Tesla Model S saloon or Model X SUV, you’re going to be disappointed. They’ve stopped building right hand drive versions. You can still get a left hooker but, to be honest, only hardened Tesla nuts will buy one. However, there is another option - the Mercedes EQE. Graham Courtney took one out on the roads for an extensive review.
Review | CUPRA Born
With ‘Born to be Wild’ by Steppenwolf pumping out of the speakers, Graham Courtney took the CUPRA Born for a test drive. The sporting arm of SEAT usually has a knack for taking a standard car and bringing it to life. So, is it business as usual here?
Review |Audi A4 40 TFSI
It’s tricky arguing against the plethora of SUVs which swamp our roads because buyers plainly like them, but you could never say that an estate wasn’t just as versatile and practical as an SUV. Graham Courtney took the Audi A4 40 TSFI for a spin to disprove that theory.
Feature | The Nyobolt EV with a six-minute charge time
Mike Booth was sent to Warwick for the launch of the CALLUM & Nyobolt EV sports car concept. At one of the old Jaguar Land Rover facilities, he found how this car, while borrowing ideas from the past, is potentially gamechanging for the future of EVs.
Feature | The DGR - London
John Marcar joined Team Triumph to take part in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in London on May 21st, 2023. 500 riders on 500 bikes took to the streets of London dressed in their Sunday best, to raise money for some truly amazing causes. Read about the day here.
Review | Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650
The Super Meteor 650 fits into the category of Cruiser, a field that Royal Enfield has been familiar with and excelling at for many decades. This is, however, the first time Royal Enfield has produced a cruiser with the 650 twin engine. I've always admired the smaller 350 single-cylinder engines, but to speak the truth, despite the characterful charm of the singles, I've always lusted after a little more 'go', and the 650 twin gives just that.
Review | BMW M3 Touring (G81). Who is this car for?
Thanks to the variance of driver modes, the M3 touring is a car that can do it all. I find the M3 Touring comparable to the F90 M5, which, although it is a very different car in terms of power and performance, it's a car that can do it all and, crucially, disappears into traffic when you want it to. The M3 touring, like the M5, falls into the category of stealth wealth. It is a car that is rightfully recognised by people who know what it is and blissfully ignored by people who couldn't care less.
Review | Renault Clio E-Tech Hybrid - E-Tech is hi-tech va va voom
Have you ever fancied a taste of Formula One? .. Well, we’re perhaps not quite there, but Renault suggests that their technology is filtering down through their manufacturing and into their everyday vehicles more and more so when it comes to hybrid power - this being one of them. What did our roving reporter, Graham, think?
