Lamborghini showcase Miami themed Urus SE
Art Basel Miami Beach 2024
After Jaguar created a storm by unveiling its brand new concept, Lamborghini had its turn, paying homage to Miami with a vibrant Urus SE design. The reveal took place at an exclusive event during Art Basel Miami Beach 2024 in front of several Lamborghini bigwigs and dozens of guests.
The Urus SE only launched this year and its the brand’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version of its best selling SUV, combining a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor.
Painstaking process
The special livery is the vision and work of the Lamborghini design centre, Centro Stile, and the brand’s Ad Personam customisation team. An additional 230 hours of painting and testing were required, with the team creating a unique exterior of Blue Glauco contrasted by a combination of grey and black. Grigio Telesto (grey) and Nero Noctic (black) were also used on finer details like the mirror caps, rear diffuser and front lip as the design fulfilled its brief of showing the endless possibilities of Lambo’s customisation options.
The boldness of the exterior was matched with a luxurious interior featuring a single colour leather upholstery, dedicated kick plates and a carbon fibre ‘Miami’ detail on the dashboard.
Temerario makes an appearance
Also on show at the event was the new Lamborghini Temerario. The successor to the legendary Huracán is powered by a twin turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, with an output of 907bhp and the ability to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.7 seconds.
The release of the Temerario comes as the brand reaches the milestone of becoming fully hybridised, signalling a more environmentally conscious future.
