Pininfarina creates four Batman inspired hypercars

Automobili Pininfarina has given a few lucky people the chance to put themselves in the shoes of Bruce Wayne by owning and driving its interpretation of the Batmobile.

Created in collaboration with Wayne Enterprises, a luxury brand developed by Warner Bros., the collection of electric vehicles is powered by a 120kWh lithium-ion battery pack mated to four electric motors that produce 1,900hp. This results in a terrifyingly quick 0-62mph time of less than two seconds - faster than a Formula 1 car.

The cars being used for this transformation are a pair of Automobili Pininfarina B95 hyper Barchetta and Battista hyper GT. Named ‘Gotham’ and ‘Dark Knight’, the cars are heavily inspired by the Bruce Wayne character and even have instruction voiceover in the cockpit from loyal butler and assistant, Alfred Pennyworth.

The Gotham versions are a more sophisticated spec and are upholstered in tan leather with bespoke quilting in the centre panels. The Gotham Battista’s bodywork has an Argento Vittorio gloss finish and a Nero Torino gloss paint roof and sits on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheels, also finished with a Prezioso Evoluzione gloss black face and matt black channel rim. It also has the brand’s ‘F’ logo back-lit and is made of brushed and polished aluminium.

The Dark Knight design is slightly more edgy and features black Alcantara and black leather upholstery, with a black and gold two tone contrast stitch. The Dark Knight Battista’s bodywork has a Nero Profondo gloss finish with Nero Torino ‘Goccia’ roof, and Glorioso ceramic-polished rims.

Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina:Designing an all-electric hypercar inspired by Bruce Wayne is a dream assignment for our team, giving them creative freedom to place themselves into the imagination of someone as iconic as Bruce Wayne. These two exclusive specifications for our two hypercars represent the ultimate vehicles for the man behind the most famous mask in the world.”

While pricing and delivery dates have yet to be confirmed, we wouldn’t suggest taking this out on the streets to fight crime if you take pride in keeping your car immaculate.
