REVIEW | The Supercar Driver Secret Meet 2025

Tuesday, June 17th 2025, saw the return of one of the most exclusive automotive events on the calendar: the SCD Secret Meet.

What's the Secret?

If you know, you know. And if you don't… Well, let's say you've missed something extremely special. The SCD Secret Meet has always been an invitation-only event for members and their specially chosen guests, and this year, despite the secret being out, it remained the same.

The Backstory

2025 marks the 15th anniversary of Supercar Driver, a supercar club that brings together a community of car collectors, drivers, and carefully selected partner brands. The criteria for club membership are having the right car and, more recently, a bit of patience, as aspiring members must join the waiting list to be in with a chance of signing up.

The first SCD Secret Meet was held in 2011 at Donnington Park Circuit, bringing all SCD members together for the first time to showcase and share their unique cars. By 2014, the event had outgrown its original home in its original format, prompting an expansive move to the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, where celebrations continued and raised money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

In 2019, the meet returned to Donnington Park with a new format and some circuit activities. In 2023, the event was spread across two days to feature the first-ever SCD Secret Meet track shootout. In 2024, the SCD team made an ambitious move to Silverstone, the home of the British F1 race and the BRDC. The event was repeated at the iconic circuit for the second time this year.

The 2025 Event

For 2025, the event was the biggest and arguably boldest yet, with over 150 of the rarest hypercars in attendance, in addition to many hundreds of supercars, performance cars, and racing cars. Before even passing through the strictly ticket-controlled gates, car spotters were seen lining the streets and entry roads to Silverstone, all hoping to catch a glimpse of and photograph the arrivals.

Over 3,200 invited guests attended the 2025 event, accompanied by more than 300 additional cars dispersed throughout the site. Highlights included the Hypercar Parade, a rolling showcase of the rarest and most exclusive cars sharing the circuit. From Bugatti to Pagani, McLaren to Koenigsegg—it was all there. Popular favourites included two Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercars, a Pagani Zonda R, and a Koenigsegg Jesko, all of which provided a spectacular soundtrack that could be heard from miles around.

The Hypercars

Following the parade, a grid walk open to all attendees provided the opportunity to get up close and personal with all the cars, including the mind-blowing TVR Speed 12 and a Pagani Zonda 760 Roadster finished in gloriously exposed carbon fibre with a green metallic flaked lacquer. Following the parade, the start-finish straight was opened for a grid walk, allowing members and their guests to get up close and personal with the cars.

In the afternoon, the hypercars returned to the circuit once more, where raw speed met brave driving in millions of pounds worth of metal and carbon fibre.

The Racing Cars

In addition to the exclusive road cars on track, the event also hosted a collection of 30-minute motorsport demonstrations, with 40 legendary racing cars, including Le Mans legends, touring cars, and prototypes, all taking to the track with pro drivers and team owners at the wheel.

Away from the circuit in the paddock area, multiple static displays from specialist car dealers and retailers showcased some of the most exotic modern and classic cars on sale. From a concours-condition Ferrari F40 on display from Joe Macari to a stripped-back bare-shell Bugatti Veyron on the Furlonger stand, the line-up was a car fanatic's browsing dream, with some dealers even securing deposits for sales on the day.

The Celebrity Guests

Famous faces in attendance at the 2025 Secret Meet included DJ and Music Producer Carl Cox, who was seen admiring the racing cars in the paddock. Racing Driver Ben Collins, known to many as 'The Stig' on BBC Top Gear, was on hand offering driving tips to Rapper and MC Dizzee Rascal. Zak Brown, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, was also in attendance, driving a 1986 Porsche 962 Le Mans car in the motorsport sessions. Also spotted on the track were Red Bull Mountain Bike athlete Matt Jones, IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti, automotive journalist Jonny Smith, and car vlogger and YouTuber Tim Burton, better known to most as Shmee150.

The value: £One Billion worth of metal and Carbon

Combining the value of all supercars, hypercars, and racing cars in attendance, we estimate that the value of cars at the 2025 SCD Secret Meet totalled around a jaw-dropping billion pounds.

Why have 1 Bugatti Veyron when you can have 15?

Some of the event's most significant highlights included the UK premiere of the Aston Martin Valhalla and a dedicated tribute to the Bugatti Veyron, which brought together 15 examples to celebrate 20 years of Bugatti's legendary hypercar. The 2025 event also paid tribute to racing heritage with historic GT3 cars and a moving motorsport salute to Jochen Mass, featuring his original Porsche 962 and Sauber C9, which took to the circuit once more.

The Loudest Secret of All Time

Okay, so we know it's not exactly the best-kept secret… (but that's what makes it so good!) Thanks to the efforts of the production team, the guests and the partners in attendance, the SCD Secret Meet proved once again to be one of the world's best and most exclusive automotive events. Perhaps the real secret is finding out how to get a ticket for 2026.
