MG set to reveal new SUV

Details of MGS5 EV coming soon

Following the award-winning success of its MG4 hatchback, MG Motor UK is taking it up a notch with a ‘comfortable and practical’ SUV.

The MGS5 EV will use the same modular scalable platform (MSP) created for the MG4 for a brand new electric offering, which the brand says offers ‘outstanding and competitive value’.

There isn’t a lot to go with based on the dimly lit images we’ve been treated to so far, although compared to the MG4, the full-width taillight now joins and stretches across the MG badge.

MG also says the new SUV will have a new cabin appearance with ‘advanced and premium features unique to this model’ while the whole car will ‘challenge expectations’.

David Allison, Head of Product and Planning for MG Motor UK: “The MGS5 EV has all the credentials to impress, a generously equipped and spacious SUV but with the all-electric performance that MG customers enjoy so much. In terms of cabin ambience and technology this model will offer a new and greatly enhanced MG experience.”
